Grand Competitions Mark Technical Fest ‘Aura 2K26’ at MJPRU Bareilly

Bareilly, April 6, 2026 – A vibrant display of talent, innovation, and creativity was witnessed at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University during its three-day technical festival ‘Aura 2K26’, where a wide range of competitions were organized under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET). The events held on April 5 were conducted under the overall supervision of Vice-Chancellor K P Singh, with enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines.

The festival brought together budding engineers, designers, writers, and performers, offering them a platform to showcase their abilities across technical, cultural, and creative domains. From design-based contests to robotics and literary events, the campus buzzed with energy as participants competed with zeal and originality.

The Tech Rangoli competition saw participation from eight teams comprising over 30 students. Team 2 secured the top position, followed by Team 5 and Team 6 in second place, while Team 7 finished third. The event was judged by Prof. Nivedita Srivastava and Dr. Ruchi Dwivedi, and coordinated by Dr. Sushmita Gupta along with a team of co-coordinators.

Adding a creative twist to storytelling, the ‘Story in Reverse’ competition challenged participants to narrate stories in unconventional formats. Aditya Kumar Singh emerged as the winner, while Hricha Gangwar from Government Avanti Bai Degree College secured second place and Vidhi from the CSIT department finished third. The competition was evaluated by Prof. Hema Verma and Prof. Tulika Saxena.

Music enthusiasts were treated to electrifying performances during the ‘Battle of Bands’, where students from Invertis College impressed the audience with their stage presence and musical skills. The performances were assessed by Shashi Lata and Dr. Atul Katiyar.

The Fusion Dance competition, held at Atal Auditorium, showcased a rich blend of classical, folk, modern, and western dance styles. Anushka Singh clinched first place, followed by Bhumika Singh in second position and Pallavi Bharti in third. The event was coordinated by Dr. Reena Pant.

Creativity and innovation were further highlighted in the Logo Design competition, which revolved around themes such as Digital India, green technology, environmental sustainability, and tech startups. Aman Kumar Arya from CSIT secured first place, while Shrishti Pandey stood second and Tanishk Sahu from HP Institute, Badaun, claimed third position. The event was judged by Dr. Ashwani Gupta and coordinated by Dr. Ashutosh Shankhdhar.

Technical aptitude took center stage during the Tech Quiz Battle, conducted under the guidance of Dr. Anil Kumar Bisht. The winning team comprised Mansi Gupta, Surbhi Rana, Mandavi Shri, and Pragya Pathak. Similarly, the Debugging Contest tested coding and problem-solving skills, where the team of Divyanshu, Sahitya, and Harshit secured first place, followed by Kuldeep, Adhyayan, and Aryan.

In the Creative Writing competition, Richa secured first place while Agrima finished second, demonstrating literary flair and expression. The T-shirt Painting competition, based on the theme of wildlife protection, saw Krishnagi winning first prize, with Abhay and Sakshi Patel securing second and third positions respectively.

The Robo Race competition, organized by the Electrical Engineering Department under the guidance of Dr. Atul Sarojwal, drew significant attention. Team ‘Dhuandhar’ from SRMS CET Bareilly emerged as the winner, showcasing technical precision and innovation.

The Fashion Show added glamour to the festival, with the team ‘Innocence to Corruption’ winning first place and ‘Traditional vs Modern’ securing second. Individual accolades were also awarded, with Saurabh Kumar Yadav and Pooja Devi winning Best Ramp Walk in male and female categories respectively, while Ashutosh and Shuddhodana were recognized as the most charming personalities.

Engineering skills were put to test in the Bridge Building competition, where teams demonstrated structural creativity and practical application of concepts. Vaishnavi Gupta and her team secured first place, followed by Anurag Narayan Mishra’s team in second and Shraddha Pal’s team in third.

Indoor competitions also saw enthusiastic participation. In the Chess competition, Sangam Mishra emerged victorious, followed by Dev Prakash Shukla and Abhinav Saini. Meanwhile, the Spell Bee competition, held under the leadership of Prof. Anita Tyagi, witnessed Lavi Singh securing first place, Akshat Gupta second, and Ankita Kumari third.

The event was attended by several वरिष्ठ faculty members, including Dean FET Prof. Archana Gupta, Chief Proctor Prof. Ravinder Singh, and other prominent academicians and staff members, who appreciated the efforts of students and organizers in making the festival a grand success.

Aura 2K26 not only celebrated technical excellence but also fostered creativity, teamwork, and innovation, reinforcing the university’s commitment to holistic student development.
